There is no place in all of Ireland with such a wealth of historical monuments, Gaelic culture and literature found on the stunning Dingle Peninsula . You will find marvellous sandy beaches along the coast and deep rocks.

From Killarney we drive past the 5 km long pretty Inch Beach , over Lispole to Dingle. There we take a short break in order to explore the little harbour village of Dingle by foot.

After leaving Dingle Bay behind us we come closer to Ventry Harbour , with a horseshoe-shaped bay and a safe sandy beach. We then go along a panorama coast road, Slea Head. The picturesque coast line will give you great opportunities to take beautiful photos. You will have amazing views over Dingle Bay to Iveragh Peninsula and to the Blasket Islands .

We have our lunch-break at the Blasket Island Centre or in a typical Irish pub. At the Blasket Island Centre you will hear more about the history of the Blasket Islanders. We make further stops at Gallarus Oratory, one of the finest examples of an early Christian Church in Ireland and the Kilmalkeder Church – a 12th century church ruin. The return journey leads us through Tralee, the capital of County Kerry
